KIC - Nufarm Art Awards

KIC Design for Industry and The Nufarm Youth Encouragement Industry/Community Arts Partnership 2010
The exhibition at the Gary Holland Centre, Kent Street, Rockingham, will show daily to the public from 8th to 30 March.  The winning exhibits were formally announced on the 15th March.

This award winning joint community partnership involves industry members of the KIC, Nufarm, the Rockingham Council for the Arts and Crafts and Kwinana Industries Education Partnership, and is in its 15th year of successful operation.  The generous support of each of these organisations is highly valued and acknowledged, together with the help of the Rockingham City Council which provides the venue for the event.

The annual youth art exhibition is recognised as the most prestigious exhibition of young local talent from the local area. Some 1200 entries were processed culminating in 85 nominations making it through to the finals, each vying for the top art and technology design award.

The high standard of entries is impressive, demonstrating superb talent and creativity. The work on display features furniture, sculptures and fine art. The exhibition is well worth a visit and a few pieces will be offered for sale.
