            ALCOA Australia has won a Minerals and Energy Export Award for 
            outstanding export results.

            WA operations general manager Simon Butterworth said the win 
            reflected the hard work of all employees including about 1000 at 
            Kwinana making the company one of Australia ’s leading exporters.

            "Alumina produced by Alcoa in WA accounts for about 11 per cent of 
            world demand and 5 per cent of WA ’s total exports," Mr Butterworth 
            said.

            The win has put Alcoa in the running for the 2008 Australian Export 
            Awards.
