Wesfarmers LPG

Wesfarmers LPG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Wesfarmers Pty Ltd, operate an LPG extraction plant in the Kwinana industrial area off Donaldson Road.

The LPG extraction plant extracts propane, butane and heavier hydrocarbon components from the sales quality natural gas stream flows to Kwinana via the Epic Energy Dampier Bunbury pipeline. The extracted LPG is supplied to both the domestic and export markets.

The plant commenced production in 1988 and was originally designed to process 320 TJ/day of Natural gas, producing 150,000 tonnes/annum of LPG.

The plant has undergone a number of plant upgrades since start up in 1988 and now has a design capacity of 500 TJ/day of Natural Gas with a production capacity capability of 350,000 tonnes/annum of LPG.
