EducationKwinana Industries Education Partnership (KIEP) The KIEP is an ongoing project, which was initiated in 1993 by major industry members of the Kwinana Industries Council. Officially launched in 1995, the Kwinana Industries Education partnership (KIEP) is a formal agreement between members of the Kwinana Industries Council and local senior high schools.
It is a commitment to work together to develop mutually beneficial long-term relationships in order to achieve excellence in education that broadens the learning experiences of students. Ultimately the goal is to encompass a better understanding of commerce and industry. The KIEP is a way of finding the solutions to problems of mutual understanding. It aims to help students gain a better understanding of the working world that is their future.

KIEP is seeking a new Executive Officer
The position entails developing and maintaining linkages from the education sector to the industry and business sector through an excellent relationship with KIC and its subcommittee the Workforce & Education Committee.
Particular areas of impact include school-based traineeships, vocational education and training, post-schools innovation with tertiary institutions, Real World Science, Classroom in Industry, and a number of associated community projects. A strong knowledge of the secondary and senior schooling education system and employer needs is desirable The role offers the opportunity for the management and coordination of a wide variety of core business areas, innovative approaches to training and delivery of programs and information, and the facilitation of working relationships within the broader community. We are looking for a dynamic individual who will demonstrate -
• an empathy for young people, education and training • excellent communication skills, both written and oral, • an outgoing positive nature, • flair for innovative approaches to marketing, and business acumen to ensure the success and sustainable growth of the organization and its partnerships. • ability to build strong relationships at all levels including with industry partners • honesty, integrity, and innovation • initiative to fully develop new and existing opportunities which will be key aspects of this demanding role. A generous salary package will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a private sector position in a not-for-profit organization however, a secondment opportunity would be considered.
